These rules govern how markets on OMINARI are settled, voided, and paid out. The General Rules in Section A apply to every market. The market-type sections (B–F) describe how each product resolves. The worked examples in Section G are illustrative and form part of these rules. Rules are versioned per market and frozen when a market opens for trading; if a rule must change, the change applies to new markets only and never retroactively to a market already open.

A. General Rules

These rules apply to every market.

A.1 Settlement source

Markets settle on the official result of the relevant fixture or competition as published by the tournament's governing body. Where the official source is delayed or unavailable, the platform may rely on at least two reputable independent sports-data providers reporting the same result.

A.2 Finality of results

Markets settle on the result as it stands at the time of settlement. Later changes — appeals, disciplinary decisions, forfeits, or record amendments made after settlement — do not reopen a settled market.

A.3 Settlement timing

Markets are scheduled for settlement typically within 24 hours of the official result.

A.4 Voided markets

If a market is voided under these rules, all outcome positions are unwound and holders are returned the value of their positions, in the manner described in the platform's settlement documentation.

A.5 Postponement and abandonment

A fixture that is postponed or abandoned but completed within 48 hours of its original scheduled start settles normally on the completed result. If it is not completed within 48 hours, all markets on that fixture are voided. A result that stands officially at abandonment — for example, an awarded result declared by the governing body — settles as an official result.

A.6 Pricing and costs

Prices are set by an automated market maker and include a spread. There is no separate trading fee. Quoted prices at the time of trade are binding; probabilities displayed on listing pages are indicative.

A.7 Errors and integrity

The platform may suspend trading in a market at any time, including around team news or data outages. Trades executed at a clearly erroneous price caused by a technical fault may be cancelled. Market manipulation, the use of non-public tournament information by persons connected to participating teams, and coordinated abuse are prohibited and may lead to position cancellation and account restriction.

A.8 Disputes

Settlement disputes must be raised within 24 hours of settlement via the platform's official support channel (Discord ticket). The platform's determination after review is final.

A.9 Eligibility

Markets are available only to users aged 18 or over in supported jurisdictions. Participation from restricted jurisdictions voids the user's right to winnings to the extent permitted by law.

A.10 Versioning

Rules are versioned per market and frozen when the market opens. The version and publication date are displayed on each market page.

B. Match Outcome markets — group stage

Which team wins this match, or is it a draw? Settles on the official result at the end of regulation time: 90 minutes plus referee-added stoppage time. Group-stage matches can end in a draw; the Draw outcome wins in that case. Extra time does not apply in the group stage.

C. Match Outcome markets — knockout stage

Two distinct market types, and the title always says which:

  • Match result (90 mins): settles at the end of regulation time, including the Draw outcome. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs do not count.
  • To advance: settles on which team progresses to the next round by any means — regulation win, extra time, penalties, opponent disqualification, or walkover.

D. Group progression markets

Does this team finish in a qualifying position in its group (or finish as one of the qualifying best third-placed teams, where applicable)? Settles on the official final group standings, applying the competition's tie-breaking rules. If a team advances by any official determination, "Yes" wins regardless of how the tie-break was decided.

E. Tournament advancement markets

Reach round of 32 / 16 / quarter-final / semi-final / final. "Yes" wins if the team appears in the named round, by any means including walkover. A team withdrawn or disqualified before the named round settles "No". If the tournament is cancelled before the named round is reached, the market is voided; if the named round has already been reached, the market settles on participation as it stands.

F. Tournament winner and podium markets

Winner: settles on the team officially declared champion. Podium: settles on the champion, the runner-up, and the winner of the third-place match. If the final or third-place match is not played and the governing body declares official placements, those placements settle the market; if no official placement is declared, affected outcomes are voided.

G. Worked examples

  • A knockout match ends 1–1 after 90 minutes and Team A wins on penalties: "Match result (90 mins)" settles Draw; "Team A to advance" settles Yes.
  • A group match is abandoned at 0–0 in the 60th minute due to weather and replayed two days later: if completed within 48 hours of the original scheduled start, it settles on the completed result; beyond 48 hours, the market voids. The cut-off timestamp is stated on the market page when this happens.
  • A team is disqualified after qualifying for the round of 16, and its group runner-up takes its place: "Reach round of 16" settled at the time the team officially appeared in the round stands (Rule A.2, finality); the replacement team's market settles Yes if it appears in the round.
